[OOC: Ginsberg is about 5'7", small and slight, with perpetually disheveled hair, a wardrobe of ugly ties and schlumpy cardigans and too-big pants, and a tendency to look a bit frantic and sweaty. He speaks with a very fast, very pronounced Brooklyn accent. As of Season 6, he also happens to have a rather unfortunate mustache, but hopefully that problem will eventually resolve itself.]

Michael Ginsberg is a copywriter at the ad firm of Sterling Cooper and Partners, where he formerly worked for his archnemesis Don Draper, and now works for Don's replacement.

Born in a concentration camp near the end of World War II and raised in poverty by a smothering adoptive father, Ginsberg is lacking in a lot of things, but basic social skills are near the top of the list. He's loud, foulmouthed, abrasive, incredibly egotistical about his work, incredibly insecure about everything else, easily traumatized by the thought of violence, and frequently described as a "tortured genius."

If you happen to forget about the "genius" part, he will helpfully remind you at every available opportunity.
